Our Novalac range is specially designed to help manage common feeding conditions. This includes cow’s milk allergy, reflux, constipation, colic and excessive hunger in the first year or life, as well as cow’s milk allergy in toddlers. Novalac formulas are for formula-fed children and are suitable for everyday, ongoing use.

Novalac Reflux is a thickened formula designed to thicken in the stomach, and not in the bottle, to help reduce the severity and frequency of regurgitation episodes.

Novalac Colic contains a balanced blend of nutrients to help reduce wind and abdominal discomfort whilst nourishing your baby with essential daily vitamins and minerals.

Is it a feeding condition?
Even with the best nutrition and care, many infants experience feeding conditions that can affect their everyday feeding habits in the first year of life. For some conditions, like cow’s milk allergy, these challenges can continue into the toddler years and may still require support.

Reflux
Reflux happens when a baby’s stomach contents escape back up into their oesophagus (food pipe) and into their mouth. Reflux usually happens soon after a feed, and can cause babies to “spit up” milk or vomit.
Colic
Colic is a term used to describe excessive, uncontrollable crying or fussing in babies who are otherwise healthy and well fed.
Constipation
Formula-fed babies are more prone to constipation, which may cause painful bowel movements and distress.
Cow’s milk protein allergy
Cow’s milk protein allergy is a common food allergy in babies, and can cause varied symptoms including rash, digestive problems, and a failure to thrive.
Hungry baby

Yes, Novalac infant formulas (0-12 months) are nutritionally complete for babies up to 12 months of age. Babies aged over 6 months should be offered solid food in addition to infant formula.
All Novalac infant formulas are nutritionally complete, providing your baby with essential daily nutrients and minerals. Babies aged over 6 months should be offered solid food in addition to infant formula.
The Novalac infant formula range is suitable for ongoing everyday use after symptoms have resolved. So even when your baby’s symptoms are being managed successfully with one of the Novalac specialised formula range and their symptoms have resolved or eased, you may continue to use Novalac until they are 12 months of age.
However, it’s important to note that Novalac Colic, Constipation, Reflux, Allergy and Sweet Dreams are specialty formulas for babies with feeding conditions (e.g. colic, constipation, reflux or cow’s milk protein allergy). These formulas are not intended for general use and should be used under medical supervision.
